Our Story

The Cutting Corner Was First Established in Bletchley in 1998

After learning and applying his trade in the family barbershop based just down the road in Fenny Stratford. Our founder, Steve Perry, branched out on his own in 1998 and established The Cutting Corner, Traditional Barbershop situated at 140 Buckingham Road.

A lot has changed over the years but the commitment to customer service, the delivery of great haircuts and the pride when generations of families return to the shop have remained. Our Barbershops provide a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for everyone, a salon for toddlers, boys, young gents, dads and granddads – you can get a traditional scissor over comb haircut right up to the latest style or fashion. We encourage and support fresh new talented barbers which definitely helps to keep our shop skills on trend with the latest styles.

All our barbershops have air-conditioning, Satellite TV, Newspapers and Magazines plus Tea and Coffee making facilities, providing our customers with comfortable waiting areas.

Since 1998 the business has grown. Located in the small picturesque town of Winslow, Steve has added two new traditional barbershops. First came a small barbers with just two chairs, but due to its continued success and demand the decision was made to look for larger premises in the High Street.

The newest barbershop, established in early 2019 is also in Winslow but is substantially larger. A quirky but modern interior style with the additional space allowing the team to expand its services to include the traditional “Shaves & Treatments”.

The smaller High Street barbershop was kept, only opening for booked appointments on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Steve’s Corner, as it is now referred to, allows Steve to work part-time and offers a Private Barbering experience by appointment only.

5 stars. Been coming here for 10+ years now since I was young. Haircuts are always consistently brilliant, especially Martin, but all barbers are very good. Always friendly and feel welcome and accommodated. Waiting times are managed as well as can be expected. The new shop in Winslow is also a brilliant progression for the business.
